Abstract:
The purpose of this lecture is to provide a simple but comprehensive introduction to the physics of nanomaterials. Beyond that, the lecture will discuss how nanostructures are made and how to see them experimentally. Finally, some application in science, technology and society will be presented and shortly discussed.
