Typical applications
Superkanthal furnace is a box furnace which can reach temperature up to 1800°C. It is usually used for sample synthesis in crucibles (e.g. platinum for very high temperatures) or high temperature sintering. The furnace have programmable temperature profiles.
They can be used for Solid state reaction, synthesis from melt, solution growth and annealing.
Technical specification
The furnace can heat samples at ambient pressure or can be flushed by inert gas. If needed, samples may be protected by sealing in fused silica tubes (limiting the maximum temperature which can be used), in platinum or other high melting point metal crucibles (Ta, Mo + inert gas flushing). Oxides are grown at ambient atmosphere.
Maximum temperature 1800 °C
